Q: Where can I purchase Deco Audio Products?
A: To keep our prices so competitive our products are exclusively available from us. You can purchase them here in our online store, from our premises in Aylesbury or via phone/email. Collection and mail order are no problem at all.
Q: How quickly will I receive my mail order?
A: Unless clearly stated on the order page, if the item is available to 'buy it now' then it means it's in stock here. We will dispatch it as quickly as possible, normally within 1-2 days (please note we ship out between Tuesdays and Fridays as we're closed on Mondays) and then it is just dependant on the speed of the postal service/customs as to how quickly it gets to you. In the UK it is normally a next day service and worldwide tends to be 2-5 days most of the time. We will provide you with tracking information when shipped.
Q: What do the different designations in the product names mean?
A: We currently offer up to three tiers on some of our product lines.
Standard: This is our entry level version, with component quality and design considerations carefully considered to offer exceptional performance at the most reasonable price point possible.
Evolution: As the name suggest, the Evolution offers improvements over the Standard, this will be through materials, components and design considerations.
Ultimate: As the name suggests, the Ultimate is the product taken as far as sensibly possible, this will feature silver wiring wherever possible, and all component grades and design choices taken to extremes.
Wherever possible we will use common parts at a tier level, so for example we will wire the electronics with the same conductors as the interconnect of the same tier, meaning that combining them gives consistent and excellent results.
Q: Can my item be modified to a different performance tier?
A: It is sadly not possibly to do this, partly as it's uneconomic to do so but also due to more fundamental issues such as the different solder that we use for different tiers. However we will be working on an part exchange scheme that enables you to upgrade to a new unit at a incentivised price over the coming months.
Q: Do you export?
A: Yes we do, new items will generally be released to the UK at first whilst production is ramping up. If the item you want is not available to buy in your market please message us and we will add it to the custom build list and let you know as soon as we have one available for you.
Q: Can I mix and match Tiers throughout a system?
A: Absolutely! In a perfect world we would recommend having the best tiers towards the front of the system (i.e. the sources) as this way you reduce the risk of exposing deficiencies elsewhere in the system and get the best performance for your budget, but this is not always a rule that has to be adhered to.
Q: Why are you items more affordable than much of the competition?
A: We have put a lot of effort into getting our costs down, so we bulk buy parts, bulk build for efficiency and share as many parts between products as we can (packaging, enclosures etc). We also only direct sell these products, so you're getting them at the most competitive price we can manage.
Q: Where are your products made?
A: We assemble and manufacture all of our products in our premises in Aylesbury, England, and we try to source as many parts within the UK as possible too.
Q: Can I audition your products?
A: Yes of course, we're always delighted to entertain booked in advanced demonstrations st our demonstration facilities in Aylesbury.
Q: Why does a product say 'Out of Stock'?
A: We are scaling up production and trying to build in quite large batches as these helps keep our pricing very competitive, so there will be times when we are out of stock. If you would like to be informed of when a product is available please send us a message and we will let you know.
Q: What is the warranty period?
A: We include a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defects on all new items, this is a back to base warranty so does not include carriage costs to get the unit in to us. Please note consumable items, like valves, have a 3 month warranty.
Q: What if I don't like it?
A: We think you'll love our products, but if you don't items can be returned for a refund within the first 14 days after purchase. We reserve the right to make an adjustment to the price refunded if the item is not in original condition or if we are invoiced for reimport duties from export orders. We regret we are not able to refund the postage charge/s, and the return postage is the responsibility of the purchaser.
Q: How much is carriage?
A: The cost of carriage is added during checkout, and varies depending upon location and item/s weight.
